City Of Chattanooga Announces Thanksgiving Holiday Garbage And Recycle Collection Schedule

Garbage and recycle collection scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, will be collected on Saturday. Residents should place containers along the curbside before 7 a.m. on collection day to ensure pickup. Garbage and recycle collection scheduled for Friday, Nov.

24, will not change.


The City Landfill, located off of Birchwood Pike in Harrison, the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and the Wood Recycle Center will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility and the Wood Recycle Center will reopen on Saturday, for normal business hours. The Refuse Collection Centers and Recycle Collection Centers will be closed Thanksgiving Day, and will resume normal business hours on Friday.

Trustee Hullander Says Airbnb Will Remit Hotel/Motel Tax Directly To His Office; It Has 600 Local Hosts With $7 Million Annual Income

Trustee Bill Hullander said Wednesday that Airbnb has agreed to directly remit hotel/motel tax for its 600 hosts in Hamilton County to his office.
