Chattanooga Peds Adds 2 Doctors To Practice

Chattanooga Peds’ has added to their team. Dr. Carrie McLaulin is joining the practice as a pediatrician and Dr. Jason Steadman is joining the practice as a pediatric psychologist. With the addition of Dr. Steadman, Chattanooga Peds is the only practice in the area that offers the service of a pediatric psychologist, officials said. 

Dr. Carrie McLaulin received her B.S. in human development and family studies from Auburn University in Auburn, Al., where she graduated summa cum laude. 

During her time at Auburn, she participated in the fight on world hunger and spent a year in Swaziland, Africa completing mission work. She received her M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Al.
, and then completed her medical residency in pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. Dr. McLaulin is a board certified pediatrician. 

“We are thrilled to have Dr. McLaulin join our growing team at Chattanooga Peds,” said Dr. Jeanie Jung, Chattanooga Peds founder. “Her experience, along with her positive spirit, are attributes we look for in all members of our staff.” 

Born and raised in nearby Dalton, Dr. Jason Steadman received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Evansville, In. In 2013, he completed his doctoral training at Baylor University’s Clinical Psychology (Psy. D.) program in Waco, Tx. He completed his residency at The Village for Families and Children in Hartford, Ct., followed by a fellowship in community health and integrated primary care at Community Health Center, Inc., in Middletown, Ct. 

Before moving to Chattanooga, Dr. Steadman was a psychology professor at East Tennessee State University, where he taught undergraduate, graduate and medical students. Dr. Steadman is also a singer/songwriter, with published music on iTunes and other digital music sources. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife and daughter.

“As a part of our vision to provide comprehensive healthcare, we are excited to now have a pediatric psychologist on our staff,” said Dr. Jung. “We are the only practice in Chattanooga to offer this service. We know that our patients will be well taken care of through the care of Dr. Steadman.”


Chattanooga Heart Ball Nets $404,000 For American Heart Association

Jury Finds Donaldson Guilty Of Second-Degree Murder In Killing Of Son-In-Law

A Criminal Court jury late Friday afternoon returned a verdict of guilty of second-degree murder against Glen Donaldson in the killing of his son-in-law, Adam Levi. He is facing 15-60 years in state prison. Judge Don Poole will set the sentence at a sentencing hearing on July 12.  He has been free on bond, but was taken into custody after the verdict.
