Southside Creative Expands Its Marketing Services With 4 New Hires

Southside Creative, HHM CPAs’ affiliated marketing firm, has hired four new employees to provide for the expansion of key client services. New hires include Sarah Halloran, marketing director; Gray Gill, content strategist and writer; Jessica Blankenship, project manager and designer; and Sallie Tipton, marketing coordinator. 

Ms. Halloran joins Southside Creative with experience as a full service marketing specialist for local and regional businesses in a variety of industries. In her new role as marketing director, she will focus on expanding client’s digital presence though Google AdWords, online reputation management, SEO, social media, and advertising while counseling businesses across the agency's growing client portfolio on digital brand strategy. Ms. Halloran is also an event director who has previously led the management and execution of events including the U.S. Olympic boxing pre-trials, local pro boxing events, Kids & Pros, and the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival in Temecula, Ca. Previously, Ms. Halloran worked as marketing director for Connect Marketing Chattanooga where she oversaw various campaigns and events for Chattanooga based businesses. Ms. Halloran earned her Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Palomar University. 

Mr. Gill specializes in brand-defining writing that is rooted in strategy, including headlines, tag lines, brand and product names, website copy, newsletters, and more. He will work with clients to find their brand’s unique voice and develop messaging to persuade and motivate target consumers, said officials. Prior to joining Southside Creative, Mr. Gill worked for The Brandon Agency, where he honed his technical writing skills working with various B2B clients, and Trek Bicycle Corporation as the brand’s copywriter. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Auburn University. 

Ms. Blankenship is an experienced marketing professional and graphic designer who joins the team to utilize her variety of strengths for the agency’s broad range of clients. She will oversee day to day work as a project manager and also apply her design skills as a production designer for many ongoing Southside Creative client projects. For the past three years Ms. Blankenship has worked at Crash Creative, most recently as director of marketing and customer success, where she identified unmet online needs, goals and opportunities for clients ranging from small local businesses to larger national brands. She also oversaw advertising campaigns and performance reporting while managing project timelines. Ms. Blankenship earned her Bachelor of Science in digital media studies at Lee University. 

Ms. Tipton joins Southside Creative as a marketing coordinator, lending a hand in a variety of areas for the agency’s portfolio of clients. Ms. Tipton works alongside project managers to make sure all client projects are on track and on time. She also compiles research for a variety of industries to ensure the team is knowledgeable of various industry trends and creates engaging content for multiple organization’s social media platforms. Majoring in marketing, Ms. Tipton graduated from Mercer University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Jury Finds Donaldson Guilty Of Second-Degree Murder In Killing Of Son-In-Law

A Criminal Court jury late Friday afternoon returned a verdict of guilty of second-degree murder against Glen Donaldson in the killing of his son-in-law, Adam Levi.
