CDOT Announces Construction Closures

1100 Mountain Creek Road 
Utility work will require closing the 1100 block of Mountain Creek Road this Saturday through Sunday morning.  Work will begin at 7:30 AM on Saturday, June 23, and the road will reopen Sunday morning.  The 1100 block of Mountain Creek Road is north of N Runyan Drive.  The detour is to use US 27 to Morrison Springs for access to properties north of the closure, or US 27 to Signal Mountain Road for properties south of the closure.  


West M.L. King Blvd
Utility work is scheduled for West M. L. King Blvd from Pine Street to Gateway Avenue on Monday, June 25 though Thursday, June 28.  There will be single lane closures during the day between 9 AM and 3 PM on Monday and Tuesday.  Full closure overnight from 7 PM to 6 AM will occur Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.  During the full closures, the following Ramps at the US-27/MLK Blvd. interchange will also be closed.  Ramp from WB MLK to SB US-27, Ramp from EB MLK to NB US-27, and Ramp from SB US-27 to EB MLK Blvd.  The MLK traffic can detour using either Broad or Chestnut Street to 6th Street to Gateway Blvd.   Alternate access points to SB US-27 are Main Street or 4th Street, and the alternate access to NB US-27 will be at 4th Street.
 
W 12th Street ramp to US 27
The W 12th Street tie-in ramp to US-27 South has been temporarily closed. This closure will be in place through 09/18. Detours are posted.

McCallie Ave ramps at Dodss Ave
The ramps to and from McCallie Ave from Dodds Avenue will be paved the week of June 25.  Expect single lane closures on each ramp, and drive with caution.

E 3rd Street will be closed between Cherry Street and Market Street from 9 AM until 3 PM daily on Monday, June 25 through Wednesday, June 27 for utility work. Detours will be posted.

Poplar Springs Road Closure For Stormwater Construction Activities

The Catoosa County Stormwater and Public Works Departments have scheduled storm drain work on Poplar Springs Road between Holcomb Road and Baggett Road. Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire On Workman Road Tuesday Morning

Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched at 6:03 a.m. on Tuesday, to a commercial fire at 400 Workman Road.
